3 (Hardly) Strictly Free Events in SF this Weekend: October 3–4

San Francisco never has a dull moment. Communities throughout the city are always putting on shows, raffles, rallies, fairs, flea markets — you name it. This week we have curated a list of free events going on across the city:

California Academy of Sciences: Sunset and Parkside Residents Only | Saturday 9:30AM-5:00PM, Sunday 11:00AM-5:00PM.

Each San Francisco neighborhood (defined by zipcode) can visit the California Academy of Sciences for free over a three-day weekend. (Friday, Saturday & Sunday). Bring a valid drivers license or other proof of residency and you can save yourself $34.95!

Hardly Strictly Bluegrass: Golden Gate Park | All Ages | Saturday & Sunday 11AM-7PM.

Be prepared, Hardly Strictly Bluegrass is one of the largest (and free-est) music festivals in the country. More than 750,000 attendees and 100 bands turn out for this free, three day, seven stage event. This year the festival will be featuring TWO silent discos. Get lost in the music with legends like Michael Franti & Spearhead, Flogging Molly, Boz Scaggs, and Fantastic Negrito (who missed their set at Outside Lands this year). HSB is for everyone at any age! Remember to wear layers!
