Selling San Francisco’s Most Luxurious Residences in China

It’s safe to say the JODI Group team had a great time with our friends Matt Lituchy and Matt Paul (Jay Paul Company), Dilan Urun and Christina Parker (The Mark Company), Lillian Lin (Banc of California), and Frances Feldmann (On Location Glam) throughout the five city 181 Fremont China Tour.

Here’s a recap of last month’s fun and successful tour on the other side of the Pacific.

Upon arrival in Hong Kong our group was chauffeured in Bentleys, wined and dined with JODI Group’s dear friend, Jean Alberti — a Michelin-trained chef and former chef-partner of San Francisco’s beloved Kokkari, and soaked in stunning views from Victoria Peak.

In Macau our group was joined by JODI Group’s friend and partner, Nestor Ng, president of Anzac Realty (安世地產-澳門), who kindly arranged for local media to attend and cover the 181 Fremont China Tour event in Macau. He brought everyone to an amazing rooftop bar where whiskey and cigars were passed around and enjoyed by all, and treated our group with champagne table service at Macau’s hottest club, Club Cubic. After spending two nights out with Nestor, a delicious dim sum brunch and cheese tarts were much-needed before departing for our third stop: Shenzhen.

The ladies on tour were greeted in Shenzhen with pink roses (and a pink bus—for everyone!) courtesy of The Langham Hotel. JODI Group and partners presented the 181 Fremont Residences at Joe Kwan and Jean Alberti’s new restaurant, Taste Moment. Afterwards, our teams enjoyed a spectacular soft opening meal thanks to Joe and Jean’s wonderful team. (Taste Moment officially opened its doors in Shenzhen this week.)

The fourth tour stop brought the JODI Group, Jay Paul, and Mark Company teams to Beijing, where they explored the popular “Ghost Street” (Gui Jie, 簋街) — a foodie destination with over 100 different restaurants — and enjoyed a casual dinner. Ahead of the next day’s presentation, they were able to squeeze in a tour of the infamous Forbidden City, and capped the night off at Beijing’s best Pecking Duck restaurant, Da Dong.

Shanghai was the final stop on the tour, but the first stop in Shanghai was the famous Din Tai Fung restaurant, where our group devoured the best dumplings the “Pearl of the Orient” has to offer. (Din Tai Fung has locations around the world. We recommend you try their Santa Clara location!) The final presentation was followed by a celebration at shabushabu dinner and a celebration of the tour at The Nest lounge. The final two days of the trip brought the JODI Group team and our friends to The Bund (外滩) (Shanghai’s waterfront district), the second tallest tower in the world (equipped with the world’s fastest elevator) — Shanghai Tower, a tea ceremony, and Chinese martial arts class.

Overall, the tour was a success, with 100 high-net-worth individuals and prospective buyers attending the five city tour. The high-profile guests expressed great interest in the multi-million dollar units at the 181 Fremont Residences, filling presentation rooms to capacity.
