PRINCE→ Today marks the 1 year anniversary of the passing of Prince, and the Church of 8 Wheels is throwing a tribute weekend for the genre-defying musical legend. Taking place at the roller rink Friday and Saturday from 7PM – 11PM (18+), and the Skatin Place in Golden Gate Park on Sunday from 12PM – 6PM (all ages); skate and groove your way through the weekend.

BURR→ If you couldn’t get your hands on tickets to tonight’s Gucci Mane show at the Warfield, you can still join in on the festivities at the newly renovated Roc Nightclub tonight for the Official Gucci Mane After Party. Party to top 40 mash-ups, reggae, old school, and hip hop. Dress to impress and buy your tickets before they’re all gone.

SPCA→ Celebrate the SPCA’s 149th birthday at their Mission Adoption Center here in SF for an opportunity to adopt a rabbit or adult cat for FREE. Taking place from 6PM – 9PM, join the SPCA for nibbles from Et Volià, wine, and treats from Smitten Ice Cream. This event is free for all, but an RSVP is recommended and donations are gladly accepted.

DOGS→ “The biggest dog event in San Francisco”, the 10th Annual DogFest will be taking place at the beautiful Duboce Park this Saturday.Become a sponsor of DogFest, enter your dog in the Everyday Dog Show, participate in the silent auction, visit the many vendors, or watch as various pups compete for titles like Best Trick, Best Trick, Best Bark, and more. This event not only celebrates dogs of all breeds, but will also benefit the kids of SFUSD McKinley Elementary, so bring your furry friends and head out to Duboce Park for some fun under the sun.

RECORDS→ Record Store Day 2017 is this Saturday, and Thrillhouse Records will be celebrating by opening early and providing free coffee and donuts for all you lucky shoppers. Shop their rare collectible goods, and take advantage of their massive dollar records sidewalk sale. There will also be a Thrillhouse sponsored Benefit Show taking place at the Knockout, featuring live music by bands like The World, Pookie And The Poodles, Preening, and Soft Tug.

MUSIC→ The perfect excuse to spend the day in Golden Gate Park this Saturday, the 2017 “As You Like It” Electronic Music Picnic will be taking place at Elk Glen Meadow. Be considerate of those around you while partying as this is a pubic space, and there will be a heavy park ranger presence on site.
